5 TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL
IN EARLY AFTERNOON ACCIDENT

Columbia, Mo – Around 3:31 p.m. units of the Columbia Fire Department responded to an extrication accident at the intersection of Brown Station Rd and Route B.

Upon arrival, crews found a total of 5 people injured but standing outside of a White 2004 Durango.  The occupants (4 children and 1 adult) had various injuries consistent with being in a vehicle accident.  The adult, who is the grandmother of the children, was suspected of having a broken ankle.  While the 4 children complained of abrasions, bruises, neck and back pain.  All 5 victims were back boarded and transported to a local hospital.

Three vehicles were involved in the incident and the ongoing accident investigation is being conducted by the Columbia Police Department.  The driver of a Blue Dodge truck, and the driver and occupant of a White Budget Moving truck were uninjured as well.
