<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">The Columbia Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial structure fire at Walmart, 3001 W. Broadway, at 1:38 AM on Tuesday, October 11th.</p>
<p>Columbia Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene five minutes after dispatch and fond no visible fire or smoke from the exterior.  Evacuation of the business was in progress.  Crews were directed to the meat department where they found a small electrical fire had occurred in the cooling unit of a stationary meat rack.  An employee had extinguished the fire prior to the arrival of the fire department using a portable fire extinguisher.</p>
<p>Columbia Fire Department Investigator Kyle Edwards estimates the damage at $500.  Edwards stated the cause of the fire was a faulty electrical connection on the meat rack.  The Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services division was notified due to the proximity of food to the fire.</p>
<p>Seven units from the Columbia Fire Department responded.  There were no reported injuries.</p></div>
