<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">On Friday, October 14th, 2016 from 12:30 until 3:45 PM, the Columbia Area Career Center (Columbia Public Schools) will be hosting a Business Awareness Day.  The Business Awareness Day is an attempt to get businesses more involved with the training of the upcoming workforce.  The event will be divided into two areas of focus: Networking/interviewing and technical skills.  The Business Awareness day will be held at the CACC, 4203 S. Providence in Columbia.</p>
<p>The Columbia Fire Department will have an obstacle course set up, which is similar to the one used for our new hire process.  The course will show career center students some skills required for the job of firefighter, such as a dummy drag and fire hose operations. Members of the Columbia Fire Department will be on hand to run students through the obstacle course.</p></div>
