<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">Columbian's opinions are needed for the <a href="http://www.comowater.org/">Water Resource Plan</a> that is being developed. It will act as a guide to ensure a reliable, cost-effective water supply for the next 25 years and beyond. An open house style meeting will be held this Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC), 1701 West Ash Street from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. There will be no formal presentation so people can come and go as they please. Columbians are urged to attend the public meeting and/or fill out the online survey at <a href="http://www.comowater.org/get-involved.html">hwww.comowater.org/get-involved.html</a></p>
<p>Through the long-term planning process, Columbia can better prepare for potential challenges and evaluate alter­natives to incorporate new strategies in our water system. The Integrated Water Resource Plan will consider a broader range of water management strategies including new opportunities for conser­vation, reuse, and reclamation. Please go to <a href="http://www.comowater.org/">CoMoWater.org</a> for more information.</p>
<p>Attached are the four fact sheets for the Water Resource Plan.</p>
<p>NOTE: This is a separate plan than the Our Columbia Waters Integrated Management Plan for the Wastewater and Stormwater utilities where there was a meeting held last week and will have two other focus group discussions on Oct. 26 and Nov. 14.</p></div>
