<p>                       </p>
<p>At 1611 hours Columbia Police responded to the area of Providence Road @ I-70 W for a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.  The vehicles involved are a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle and a 2014 Ford Edge. The crash occurred as the motorcycle was traveling south on Providence Road when it collided with the passenger side of the Ford Edge within the intersection, who was traveling north on Providence attempting a left turn to travel west on I-70. The motorcycle driver was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was transported from the scene by EMS to University Hospital for life threatening injuries, where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Ford Edge was transported from the scene to a local hospital for minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.</p></div>
