(COLUMBIA, MO) -
Several razors grew dusty last month when Columbia Police Department staff participated in No Shave November to raise money for a local children's home. In its third year at CPD, No Shave November brought in $1,265.00, which was presented today to Coyote Hill Children's Home.

At the end of October, staff began donating $20 each and was allowed to go without shaving for the month of November. Some staff simply donated money without keeping a furry face.

Officers Alan Bell and Lane Nelson, and Detective Joe Jackson presented the donation to Caroline Curran, Volunteer Coordinator of Coyote Hill Children's Home. We are very proud of our staff for their support of such a great organization. Coyote Hill houses abused and neglected children as both long-term and emergency shelter. For more information on their home, or to make a donation, check out their website at www.coyotehill.org.
