<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Commercial Structure Fire On Providence Road</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">The Columbia Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial structure fire at 2307 South Providence Road, apartment A at 4:42am.  Crews arrived less than six minutes later and observed heavy flames through the roof and second floor windows of a two story apartment building.</p>
<p>Fire crews performed an aggressive, interior fire attack.  The fire progressed quickly, forcing crews out of the structure at one point.  Elevated streams from aerial devices were used to slow the fires progress and allow crews back inside.  The fire was contained to apartment A.</p>
<p>There were no occupants in apartment A at the time of the fire.  Adjacent apartments were evacuated.</p>
<p>Fire investigators are on the scene performing an origin and cause investigation.  More information will be released as it becomes available.</p>
<p>Nine units from the Columbia Fire Department responded to this call.  There were no reported injuries.</p></div>
