<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">UPDATE. - Full crew on duty overnight. About 25 peices of equipment have been on Columbia streets, priority routes, since about 10:30 am spreading salt to combat the continuous freezing drizzle and fog.</p>
<p>Boone County and MoDOT crews continue to treat county and state roads.</p>
<p>Additional updates later this evening.</p>
<p>Motorist are urged to slow down and not travel unless absolutely necessary.</p>
<p>Conditions may improve for a few hours tonight before deteriorating around dawn on Saturday. Dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills arrive Saturday afternoon.</p>

<p>Columbia Public Works crews are working diligently as they continue to treat streets with salt to help reduce slickness. However, motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to use caution on streets, trails and sidewalks. Sudden slickness or black ice may occur as this is an active winter event.</p>
<p>Weather and street conditions are being continually monitored.</p>
