<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">Due to the impending winter weather, City of Columbia offices will be closed and City meetings canceled tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 13.</p>
<ul>
<li>Depending on the severity of the winter weather, road treatment trucks may not make it to residential streets so they can focus resources on priority roads. Please visit <a href="http://www.como.gov/comosnow/">http://www.como.gov/comosnow/</a> for updates.</li>
<li>Residents are encouraged to park vehicles in driveways. You are urged to stay off the roadways. Vehicles abandoned in roadways will be towed at the owner's expense.</li>
<li>Electric customers need to be prepared for wide-spread, prolonged outages. Visit the online electric outage map at <a href="http://outageviewer.gocolumbiamo.com/" target="_blank">outageviewer.gocolumbiamo.com</a> to see if an outage has been reported or call the 24-hour emergency outage number 573-875-2555.</li>
<li>There will be no COMO Connect fixed route and paratransit service Friday. Decisions about Saturday service will be made at a later time.</li>
<li>For non-injury accidents, drivers should exchange names and insurance information; Columbia Police will not respond to non-injury accidents.</li>
<li>There will be no residential or commercial trash and recycling collection on Friday. The next collection date for Friday routes will be Saturday, Jan. 21.</li>
<li>All municipal court hearings scheduled for Friday will be rescheduled. If you are scheduled for a wedding, contact the court Tuesday morning at 573-874-7234.</li>
<li>If you are ticketed for travel on Friday at Columbia Regional Airport, you are encouraged to contact your flight carrier for up-to-the-minute flight status or check <a href="http://www.flycou.com">www.flycou.com</a>.</li>
<li>The Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) and Parks and Recreation activities will be closed and canceled Friday. Decisions about Saturday and Sunday events will be made at a later time. <li>The Utility Customer Service office will be closed, utility payments can be made online or Tuesday, Jan. 17.</li>
<li>The Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services offices and clinic will be closed, call the clinic on Tuesday to reschedule, 573-874-7356. WIC appointments and classes are canceled; call 573-874-7384 on Tuesday to reschedule.</li>
<li>The top level of downtown parking garages will be closed for the safety of parking customers and City staff. The uncovered levels of the following garage locations will remain closed from Thursday evening until Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.: Fifth Street and Walnut Street; Sixth Street and Cherry Street; Eighth Street and Walnut Street; Tenth Street and Cherry Street; Short Street.</li>
<li>The landfill will be closed.</li>
<li>Though administrative offices for both the police and fire departments will be closed, all other emergency services will be available.</li>
</ul>
<p>Reminder, City offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.</p></div>
