<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">TWO ARRESTED FOR THE ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERIES THAT OCCURRED IN THE PARKING LOTS OF JCPENNEY'S AND TARGET, AS WELL AS THE ROBBERY AT TEXAS ROADHOUSE</p>

<p>Sarena N. Rothenberger, age 19, from Columbia, was arrested at 3:50 a.m. in the 300 block of Campusview Drive for Tampering in the Second Degree. She was arrested at 6:00 p.m. for Armed Criminal Action x 3 and Robbery in the First Degree x 3.</p>
<p>Lance E. Rothenberger, age 25, from Columbia, was arrested at 3:50 a.m. in the 300 block of Campusview Drive for Tampering in the Second Degree Misdemeanor. He was arrested at 6:00 p.m. for Armed Criminal Action x 3 and Robbery in the First Degree x 3.</p>
<p>On 1/31/17 at 8:21 p.m., officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at 2400 Bernadette Drive, Target. The female victim, age 22, from Columbia, stated she was waiting for a ride when she was approached by a female. The victim said the female pulled out a knife and yelled give me your purse. The victim said the suspect attempted to take her purse but was unable to get it from her. The victim was able to get away and run inside of Target to get help. The suspect fled the scene in a black four door car. The victim described the suspect as a white female, approximately 5'6" with a thin build, last seen wearing all dark clothing.</p>

<p> On 1/31/17 at 8:41 p.m., officers were dispatched to 2005 W. Worley Street, Texas Roadhouse, in reference to a robbery. The female victim, age 17, from Columbia, was walking to her vehicle that was parked on the east side of the business. The victim reported she was approached by a white female, who was holding a knife and yelled give me your purse. The victim said the suspect pulled her purse away from her and fled in a dark green older model four door vehicle in an unknown direction of travel. The victim said she went back inside of the restaurant to get help. The victim described the suspect as a white female, approximately 5'5", early 20's, thin build with dark hair. The victim said the suspect was wearing dark clothing. The victim described the driver of the suspect vehicle as a white male, slightly older than the female with a beard.</p>

<p>On 2/1/17 at 3:10 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Campusview Drive in reference to a suspicious incident. The complainant reported he found a male subject rummaging through his vehicle and confronted the individual. The suspect, and a white female, fled from the complainant in a green Honda. The officer arrived on scene and noticed a green Honda that matched the description of the suspect vehicle on the other side of the apartment complex. Through the investigation, officers were able to locate and arrest Lance Rothenberger and Sarena Rothenberger at their apartment in the 300 block of Campusview Drive.</p>

<p>During the course of the investigation, the dark green Honda belonging to the Rothenbergers matched the vehicle description from the recent attempted robberies at JcPenney's and Target, as well as the robbery at Texas Roadhouse.</p>
<p>Detectives served a search warrant at 1:34 p.m. at the suspects' residence in the 300 block of Campusview Drive. During the search warrant detectives located a purse belonging to the victim in the Texas Roadhouse Robbery.</p></div>
