<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Columbia Municipal Court adds extended hours, additional services</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">Additional services and extended hours will be added to Columbia Municipal Court in the coming months to better accommodate Columbia citizens.</p>
<p>Current hours for Municipal Court are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; beginning March 1, hours will be extended and the office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office will continue to be open during the noon hour. Staff will be able to process payments including parking tickets and assist with information on other court matters. Citizens can visit in person at 600 E. Broadway, email <a href="mailto: MunicipalCourt@CoMo.gov">MunicipalCourt@CoMo.gov</a> or call at 573-874-7230.</p>
<p>Also beginning March 1, Municipal Court will add another docket with an available language interpreter, this will increase the frequency to twice per month. The interpreter is via phone and can speak many languages to accommodate our diverse community.</p>
<p>Beginning April 5, the Court will start offering evening court arraignments on the first and third Wednesday each month with hearings beginning at 5:30 p.m.</p>
<p>The decision to expand services was made by new Municipal Court Judge Cavanaugh Noce. The additional hours and services relate to the City's Strategic Plan to be more accessible to residents and ensure options are available to those who cannot visit Municipal Court 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. due to work, school or other life obligations.</p>
<p>"It is my hope that the expanded hours and night court will make Municipal Court more accessible to the public," Noce said. "This will afford residents additional opportunities to resolve court matters or seek assistance from Municipal Court staff."</p>
