<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia and its Commission on Human Rights and Disabilities Commission announce that registration for the 2017 Fair Housing and Lending Seminar is now open.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City's Annual Fair Housing and Lending Seminar will be held on Friday, April 7 at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This free public event will include presentations by fair housing and lending experts.  University of Missouri Law Professor and Fair Housing Expert Rigel Oliveri will provide attendees with updates on fair housing and lending laws and HUD action.  Attorney Amanda Biondolino will speak on the popular topic of service animals, fair housing and the Americans with Disabilities Act.  City of Columbia Housing Programs Manager Randy Cole will present on affordable housing and the community land trust.  Washington University Assistant Professor of Social Work Molly Metzger will talk about her research on the history of structural racism in housing, and the importance of fair and affordable housing.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The event will also include free breakfast and a City programs fair.  The programs fair will give the opportunity for attendees to meet with representatives of different housing, neighborhood, energy efficiency and sustainability programs. Registration, breakfast and the programs fair begin at 8:15 a.m.  The program begins at 9 a.m.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This program has been approved by the Missouri Bar for 3.9 hours of CLE credit.  </span></p>
