<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Multiple arrests made after large disturbance, assault with gun at Eagle Stop</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">Columbia Police officers arrested four people involved in a large disturbance early this morning at 1704 N. Providence Road, I-70 Eagle Stop. Additional arrests are possible.</p>
<p>The situation began at approximately 1:46 a.m. when officers were dispatched to the business for a disturbance in the parking lot. Boone County Joint Communications received several calls advising cars were blocking the parking lot. Given the large amount of individuals involved, Boone County Sheriff's Department deputies also responded to the area to assist with the incident.</p>
<p>Upon officers' arrival they observed several individuals fighting in the parking lot. Officers deployed their tasers on two subjects who were engaged in the altercation. The subjects and their associates removed the probes from the two subjects, identified as Spencer Allen Ervin and Monterio Truss. After removing the probes, Ervin approached another subject, brandished a firearm, and shot at the subject. Officers detained Ervin and while doing so, the disturbance escalated. Several of the subjects proceeded to attack officers. Officers deployed OC spray to disperse the crowd. The victim who had been shot at left the area by vehicle; his injuries are unknown at this time. There were no reported injuries by any other subjects on scene and no officers were injured during the incident.</p>
<p>Ervin, 30, of Columbia was arrested at 1:46 a.m. at 1704 N. Providence Road for Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a bond to be set by the Court.</p>
<p>Additional arrests include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Deshane Griffith, 26, of Columbia was arrested at 2:00 a.m. at 1704 N. Providence Road for Misdemeanor Peace Disturbance and Misdemeanor Possession of 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana both with releases on Municipal summons.</li>
<li>Shana Deshay McClain, 23, of Columbia was arrested at 2:00 a.m. at 1704 N. Providence Road for Misdemeanor Trespassing in the First Degree with a release on Municipal summons.</li>
<li>Monterio Truss, 17, of Columbia was arrested at 3:00 a.m. in the 400 block of N. Keene Street for Misdemeanor Peace Disturbance with a release on Municipal summons.</li>
</ul>
<p>The Criminal Investigations Division continues to investigate the circumstances of this incident. Additional arrests are possible.
