<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">UPDATE: FATALITY CRASH ON GARTH AVENUE AT ASH STREET</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">On 4/3/17 at 1:31 p.m., officers arrested Jeremiah Karl Lynne, age 23, from Columbia, at One Hospital Drive for Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident Felony, two counts of Murder in the Second Degree, and Resisting or Interfering with Arrest Felony. Lynne has no bond set on the charges in relation to the fatality crash on Garth Avenue at Ash Street that occurred on 4/1/17 at 8:05 p.m.</p>

<p>The investigation revealed an officer observed Jeremiah Lynne driving his vehicle on Forrest Avenue at Garth Avenue with no license plate lamp illuminated at night. The officer observed Lynne failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Garth and Forrest Avenue and began traveling south on Garth at a high rate of speed. The officer activated the emergency lights and sirens to attempt a traffic stop but due to Lynne's erratic driving, the officer turned off the emergency lights and sirens since Lynne's driving was creating a substantial risk of serious physical injury or death to other motorists.  </p>

<p>After the officer turned off the emergency lights and sirens, Lynne continued to travel at a high rate of speed and traveling into the oncoming lanes of traffic. Once Lynne approached the intersection of Garth and Ash, Lynne began traveling into the northbound lane attempting to pass multiple vehicles at a four way intersection controlled by a stop sign. Lynne failed to slow down at this intersection. As Lynne was going through the intersection, another vehicle was making a left turn from southbound Garth onto eastbound Ash. Lynne crashed into the vehicle that was turning left. The driver of the vehicle 2 was taken by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger in vehicle 2 was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.</p>

<p>After the crash, Lynne fled the scene on foot and was taken into custody a short time later.  Lynne was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for injuries. He was arrested when released from the hospital today.</p>

<p>The passenger in Lynn's vehicle Skyler L. Littleton, age 19, from Columbia, was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Skyler Littleton was four months pregnant and her child died as a result of the crash.</p>
