<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">The City of Columbia's Volunteer Programs reports that more than 1,800 volunteers representing 150 groups have registered to participate in this Saturday's Cleanup Columbia event. This is the 21st annual city-wide trash pickup event and is set to be the largest in at least five years.</p>
<p>Volunteers will be along Columbia streets and trails, in our streams and in our parks Saturday morning picking up litter. Each group sets their own start time for cleanup. Following the cleanup, volunteers are invited to a post-cleanup lunch at Twin Lakes Recreation Area at noon.</p>
<p>There is still time for residents to volunteer in the cleanup.  Those interested in participating can pick up supplies and find a cleanup location at Rock Quarry House, 2002 Grindstone Parkway on Thursday from 4-7 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. or Saturday from 7:30-9 a.m.</p>
<p>The public is encouraged to use caution while driving in Columbia on Saturday morning as volunteers may be working near roadways.</p>
<p>Cleanup Columbia is sponsored by Socket, Veterans United,102.3 BXR, KFRU AM 1400, KOMU TV 8, the Mid-Missouri CW, the Columbia Daily Tribune, and Sonshine Graphics.  Golden K Kiwanis, Columbia Utilities - Solid Waste and Columbia Parks & Recreation also provide in-kind support.</p>
