<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">The City of Columbia Volunteer Programs will hold a training session for new Recycling Ambassadors on Monday, April 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the ARC, 1701 W. Ash Street.</p>
<p>Recycling Ambassadors promote waste reduction, reuse and recycling. Trainees are asked to share a minimum of 12 hours a year promoting recycling. Opportunities include staffing information tables, giving presentations, conducting community outreach projects and assisting with waste audits and education events.</p>
<p>The Recycling Ambassador program allows citizens who are concerned with the environment, natural resources and sustainability, options for hands-on participation to influence others to increase the recycling rate and reduce waste in Columbia.</p>
