<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">The City of Columbia will hold two compost workshops on Sunday, April 23 in conjunction with the Earth Day Celebration at Peace Park. Workshops will be offered at 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the tent located at 6^th and Elm. Workshops are led by volunteers with experience and expertise in home composting.</p>
<p>Citizens can learn the how, what, and whys of home composting. Compostables make up 34% of the materials that go into landfills and is a solution for keeping grass clippings, weeds, leaves and food waste out of the landfill. Composting is nature's way of recycling while producing a nutrient rich fertilizer. Divert your kitchen scraps and yard waste by composting at home. </p>
