<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;">Columbia Parks and Recreation is planning a dedication of Hominy Creek Trail at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 18. The ceremony will be held on the trail near the Links access drive, just south of Clark Lane. Signs will be posted near the site.<br /><br /></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;">The dedication will feature light refreshments, remarks, a ribbon cutting and a guided trail walk.<br /><br /></span></p>

<p style="margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;">The Hominy Creek Trail is the first major trail that links northeast Columbia to the rest of the City's trail system. The 2.9 mile trail begins near Woodridge Park and extends northward along Hominy Creek, passing under Interstate 70 and connecting to the Links development.<br /><br /></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black; background: white;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black; background: white;">Phase I of the Hominy Creek Trail (Green Valley Drive to Lansing Avenue) was funded by the Park Sales Tax, and the development project was managed by the Parks and Recreation Department and completed in 2013. Phase II of the trail (Lansing Avenue to Lillian Drive) was federally funded from the GetAbout Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot Program, and the development project was managed by GetAbout Columbia in the Public Works Department.</span></p>
