(COLUMBIA, MO) -
GetAbout Columbia, in partnership with Columbia Parks and Recreation, is hosting a guided electric bicycle ride on Tuesday, May 23. Cyclists should meet at 6:15 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial/Stadium MKT Trailhead, 800 Stadium Blvd. The 12-mile ride will include a mix of trails and bicycle-friendly streets. A limited number of free demo e-bikes are available by prior arrangement.

Electric bicycles, often called e-bikes, offer an integrated electric motor which can be used for propulsion. An e-bike can be operated like a normal bike or with full use of the motor to assist with hills and headwinds. E-bikes are legal on Columbia streets and trails.

A rain date for the ride is set for Tuesday, May 30. For more information or to register, contact Park Planner Janet Godon at 573-441-5495.
