<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Water & Light Engineering will begin flow testing fire hydrants on Tuesday, June 6.  Testing will be conducted through August. This will ensure the hydrants have adequate water flow and pressure for firefighting purposes. Customers might notice reduced water pressure when a hydrant is flushed nearby. Sediment in the pipes can also be stirred up which can temporarily discolor the water.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If a customer notices discolored water they should avoid doing laundry. The water will usually return to a normal color after the water flows for a few minutes. The water will continue to be safe for consumption. For those with commercial fire alarm systems, they might be temporarily affected by the low pressure.</span></p>
