<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Public Works Department has scheduled an informal open house informational meeting concerning </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">improvements on Ballenger Lane between </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ria Street and Mexico Gravel Road. This meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Battle High School, 7575 E. St. Charles Rd.  The meeting will take place in the Commons Area.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">The purpose of this meeting is to present the design concept for the widening of Ballenger Lane. The design concept includes widening the entire length of roadway six feet on both sides of the road in order to provide a safer path for non-motorized users such as pedestrians and bicyclists. Construction is currently planned for 2019, subject to the City's <a href="http://www.como.gov/publicworks/updates/public-meetings/">public involvement process</a> and City Council approval.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Information and diagrams showing the preliminary design concepts will be available for public review. City engineering staff will be present to answer questions and a public comment form will also be available. </span></p>
