<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Columbia Disabilities Commission to help host Missouri Achieving a Better Life Experience Program presentation</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">The Columbia Disability Issues Coalition, which includes the City of Columbia Disabilities Commission and other local disability-related service agencies, will host a presentation on the Missouri Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Program. The event will be held Wednesday, June 21 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Woodhaven, 1405 Hathman Place.</p>
<p>The MO ABLE Program assists Missourians with the financial difficulties of living with a disability. The ABLE Act allows qualifying people to save and invest up to $14,000 per year in an ABLE Account, without losing federal government benefits such as Medicaid or Social Security. The money in the ABLE Account can be used to pay for disability related expenses including basic living, housing, transportation, assistive technology, employment training, education, health and wellness, financial management or legal fees. All individuals who developed disabilities before the age of 26 may be eligible to open an account.</p>
<p>This presentation is in partnership with the Missouri State Treasurer's Office. The presenter will be Matt Panik from the Treasurer's Office. It is free and all are welcome to attend. Sign language interpreters will be present.</p>
