<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><strong>UPDATE DETAILS:</strong> Sterling Excavation & Erection, the contractor for the Flat Branch Relief Sewer Project, will close down the intersection of Sixth and Locust beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14.  Motorists are advised to choose an alternate route.  This closure will redirect the COMO Connect 2A and 2B Gold routes to Cherry Street between Fifth and Hitt.  Riders should check COMO Connect for specific changes.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.como.gov/CMS/pressreleases/view.php?id=4949">Original Press Release</a>: In order to gain access to a sewer manhole needed for the Flat Branch Relief Sewer Project, crews have progressed into the intersection of Sixth and Locust, beginning Wednesday, June 14. </p>
<p>While the intersection is currently open, motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians should use caution in and around the four-way stop. Elm Street will remain closed between Sixth and Eighth streets resulting in traffic detours and closures from all directions.  Please keep an eye out for updates on this project as road closures will be adjusted as the work moves east along Elm Street and north along Sixth Street. </p>
