(COLUMBIA, MO) -
Columbia Parks and Recreation is offering the opportunity for the public to provide input on new lighting at Cosmo Park. The department plans to install LED lighting on two athletic fields, football field 4 and soccer field 3.

A drop-in meeting will be held from 5-6 p.m. on Monday, June 19 at football field 4 in Cosmo Park, 1615 Business Loop 70 W. Plans will be displayed and staff will be available to answer questions.

Neither field currently has lights. The addition of lights is expected to expand recreational opportunities for leagues that use the fields, allowing games to be played at night.

The project is budgeted at $200,000, with funds coming from the voter-approved Park Sales Tax.

For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 573-874-7460.
