<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Double shooting on I-70/Highway 63 connector</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">At 3:39 p.m. today Boone County Joint Communications received a call of shots fired in the area of the Highway 63 connector southbound and I-70 Drive Southeast.</p>

<p>While officers were en-route, they were advised two gunshot wound victims arrived at 300 Brickton Road, Verizon Authorized Retailer. Officers proceeded to the business. Both victims, one male and one female, were transported by EMS to a local hospital with injuries.</p>

<p>The information collected at this time has revealed the shooting likely occurred on the connector. The victims' vehicle was traveling on the connector when another vehicle approached. The occupant(s) of the vehicle proceeded to fire rounds from the vehicle striking the two victims. The victims fled the area and entered the Verizon parking lot where they unintentionally struck a parked car. There were no occupants inside the parked vehicle at the time of the collision. This information is very preliminary and subject to change.</p>

<p>Columbia Police officers have identified and detained a possible suspect in this case, however, the investigation is on-going. If you have any information regarding this double shooting, please contact the Columbia Police Department at (573) 874-7652, or call CrimeStoppers at (573) 875-TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous.  </p>
