(COLUMBIA, MO) -
As part of the City of Columbia's Flat Branch Relief Sewer Project 3, crews will progress into the intersection of Sixth and Cherry in order to gain access to a sewer manhole, beginning Tuesday, June 27. This will result in the closure of the intersection during the hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. This closure will divert public transit 2A and 2B Gold routes to Broadway by way of Seventh Street, where it will rejoin the original route on Locust.

Additionally, work crews have extended the Elm Street closure to include the section between Eighth and Ninth, resulting in a full closure along Elm from Fifth Street to Ninth Street. Fifth Street and Eighth Street intersections will remain open to north/south traffic at this time.

Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians should use caution in the area. Check COMO Connect for specific changes to 2A and 2B Gold Line routes and schedule over the next couple weeks. https://twitter.com/COMOConnect

Please keep an eye out for updates on this project as road closures will be adjusted as the work moves east along Elm Street and north along Sixth Street.
