<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Several local chiropractic business have received phone calls from individuals stating they are employees of Columbia Water and Light and demanding payment of a delinquent utility bill.  The caller states the businesses account is delinquent and facing immediate shut-off if the bill is not paid over the phone. <br /><br />City of Columbia Utility Customer Services never demands a payment over the phone. <br /><br />While the recent calls have targeted chiropractic businesses, other businesses and residents who receive a phone call demanding a payment over the phone to prevent the shut-off of utilities should report the incident to the Columbia Police Department by calling 3-1-1. <br /><br /></div>
