<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">Several local residents<span style="font-weight: 400;"> have received an email from a phony </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">City Traffic Collections Department (</span><a href="mailto:citycollections@travelalrets.com"><span style="font-weight: 400;">citycollections@travelalrets.com</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">) </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">stating that the recipient has a past due parking ticket and demanding payment of a delinquent parking fine. The fraudulent email falsely states the recipient can pay by credit card online or by calling an automated system.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Parking Utility never demands a payment of any kind via email. The City of Columbia Parking Utility does not have a Collections Department. All parking tickets are handled through the Municipal Court. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Anyone receiving this scam email should report the incident to the Columbia Police Department by calling 3-1-1.</span></p></div>
