<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Columbia Water & Light invites youth under 18 years old to participate in the Energy Spy program through Aug. 21. Mason Brobeck, University of Missouri student and Water & Light intern, is helping to manage the program this year. <br /><br />"This program promotes environmental sustainability and energy efficiency by engaging the kids in our Columbia community. When they share their green choices with us, they get points and points lead to prizes like pizza, ice cream and pool passes," Brobeck said. <br /><br />Efficient and sustainable choices include washing clothes in cold water, using a clothesline, turning on fans, pushing thermostats up a few degrees, getting a free energy audit at home, recycling, riding bikes, shopping at local farmers markets and many more. To get credit for activities, "Energy Spies" sign up on <a href="http://columbiapowerpartners.com/" target
 
 ="_blank">ColumbiaPowerPartners.com</a> and send pictures of energy efficient and sustainable choices they make around the house to Columbia Water & Light.<br /><br />This program's success is measured by the increased engagement of kids and their families in the Columbia community with sustainability, energy efficiency and Water & Light's rebate programs. Rebates from Water & Light help to reduce the cost of energy efficiency upgrades for residential and commercial customers. These investments in efficiency have saved the equivalent of thousands of homes electrical use every year.  <br /><br />Visit <a href="http://columbiapowerpartners.com/" target="_blank">ColumbiaPowerPartners.com</a> to register for the Energy Spy program or to set up a free energy audit from Columbia Water & Light. Participants must be a customer of Water & Light.</div>
