<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display: inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Update Details: </strong><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: 400;">The plans to close one lane in both directions on Providence Road, between Stewart Road and Stadium Boulevard, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., August 1-3, has been rescheduled.<br /><br /></span>The new evening schedule, weather permitting, for closing one lane in each direction on Providence Road, between Steward and Stadium, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. is follows:<br /><br />Thursday, Aug. 3<br />Monday, Aug. 7<br />Tuesday, Aug. 8<br /><br />Providence Road will remain open to through traffic but expect minor delays. Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to use extreme caution in the work area.<br /><br /><br /></span></p>

<h3>Evening lane restrictions scheduled on Providence Road, Aug. 1-3</h3>
<p style="display: inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Public Works announced on Friday, July 28, that </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sam Gaines Construction plans to close one lane in both directions on Providence Road, between Stewart Road and Stadium Boulevard, from 7 p.m. to 7a.m., August 1-3, weather permitting .</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"These closures are necessary to stripe the new intersection improvements at Burnam as well as sawcut for pavement removal near Rollins and Brandon roads," Columbia Public Works Construction Project Superintendent </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">David Fennewald said. "Sam Gaines c</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">rews will make an effort to keep lane reductions as short as possible."</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to use extreme caution in the work area. Minor delays are possible so use an alternate route at your discretion. </span></p>
