<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - On Aug. 16, the City of Columbia and Local 773 of the Laborers' International Union of North America (LiUNA) reached a tentative agreement on a labor contract.  LiUNA represents approximately 300 City workers, including mechanics, custodians, bus drivers and equipment operators.  Members of LiUNA 773 ratified the contract by vote later on Aug. 16.  The City Council will vote on the contract at the Sept. 18 Council meeting at the time when the Council approves the fiscal year 2018 budget.  A copy of the contract will be publicly available when it is placed on the City Council's agenda.<br /><br />The City of Columbia continues to meet with members of International Association of Firefighters Local 1055, Columbia Police Officer's Association (CPOA) and Columbia Police Lieutenant Association (CPLA). It is believed agreements will be reached with the three remaining labor groups soo
