<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Shots fired in the 1200 block of Grand Avenue</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">Columbia Police officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Grand Avenue at 11:24 a.m. today in reference to shots fired. Boone County Joint Communications advised a male was shooting at a vehicle in the area.</p>

<p>Upon officers' arrival, they located multiple shell casings in the vicinity. The preliminary investigation revealed a vehicle began traveling when a male suspect on foot began firing rounds at the vehicle from an alleyway. An occupant of the vehicle then returned fire at the male before fleeing in a southbound direction on Grand Avenue. The male suspect fled the area on foot. Officers established a perimeter and a K-9 track was conducted. Moberly Area Community College was notified and went on lockdown. The suspect, nor the vehicle were located in the search. There were no reported injuries or property damage as a result of the gunfire.</p>

<p>The male suspect on foot was described as a younger black male, approximately 6 foot tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing white pants and a dark colored sweatshirt. The investigation is on-going.</p>
