<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Columbia helping with Hurricane Irma recovery: Sept. 12 update</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Sept. 7, 10 lineworkers from the City of Columbia Utilities traveled to Florida to be ready to assist with Hurricane Irma recovery. On Monday, Sept. 11, the Utilities crews successfully restored power to many customers in one of Orlando's circuits.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">To restore power, the crews had to repair equipment and clear trees and limbs from power lines. Monday began with approximately 140,000 Orlando homes without power and by the end of the day the number was reduced to 108,000. Crews will be given a new assignment each day to help Florida municipalities restore power.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Utilities crews traveled to Florida as part of the </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Missouri Public Utility Alliance mutual aid network of 41 lineworkers from Missouri and Arkansas. Lineworkers from other states are also responding to help with power restoration.</span></p></div>
