<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">Columbia Parks and Recreation is holding a drop-in public meeting regarding the bridge replacement project on the MKT Trail and the trail detour. The drop-in meeting will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21 trailside at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial/MKT Stadium Trailhead, 800 W. Stadium Blvd. </p>

<p>Park planners will provide detour maps and project information regarding improvements to MKT bridges 5 and 7. If funding allows, bridge 8 will also be replaced. Construction work will require a full closure of the trail section from the northeast side of the 3M Wetlands to just southwest of the Stadium Boulevard underpass. Work is scheduled to begin Nov. 27. <br /> </p>
<p>The project is funded by the voter-approved Park Sales Tax and a Recreational Trails Program grant.</p>
