<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">Come ride with us. GetAbout Columbia, in partnership with Columbia Parks and Recreation, is celebrating the International Mountain Bike Association's Annual Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8. The free event will be held at the Jay Dix Station Bike Skills Course, 2775 S. Scott Blvd.</p>
<p>Pre-registration ends at noon on Thursday, Oct. 5. Space is limited to 20 participants. Interested participants are encouraged to call Columbia Parks and Recreation at 573-874-7460 for more information or visit www.CoMo.gov.</p>
<p>Take a Kid Mountain Biking is an annual celebration designed to encourage communities around the world to join together to create, enhance and preserve great mountain biking experiences. Columbia's free, local event is an opportunity for parents to share the joy of off-road cycling with their families.</p>
<p>Kids, ages 9-14, and their parents will be introduced to the ABC quick check, off-road riding skills and rules of the trail. The event will include a mini skills clinic, guided trail ride and instruction on the Jay Dix Bike Skills Course.</p>
<p>Parents and children are required to have a bicycle (fat, knobby tires preferred) in good working condition, helmet and closed-toed shoes. Cycling gloves are recommended.</p>
