<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Sarah Dresser has been hired as the manager of the City's Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA), effective Oct. 2. Dresser has worked for OCA as the program specialist since May 2012.<br /><br />"We look forward to Sarah's work continuing to build a stronger arts community that will enrich the lives of our citizens and visitors," Assistant City Manager Carol Rhodes said.<br /><br />Dresser has had experience in all aspects of planning, organizing, and implementing all OCA programs and services, including the Columbia Values Diversity Celebration and the Celebration of the Arts. In addition, she has managed the City's Percent for Art and Traffic Box Art public art programs.<br /><br />"The arts in this community have made an impact on my life for over 20 years. I am thrilled to continue to serve the citizens of Columbia through the Office of Cultural Affairs, and I look forward to fosterin
g arts opportunities for everyone," Dresser said. <br /><br />Dresser holds a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from Indiana University, School of Public and Environmental Affairs; and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Missouri, Truman School of Public Affairs. She also received a Bachelor of Science in Music Performance from William Jewell College.</div>
