<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">14th Annual Hinkson Creek Clean Sweep event scheduled for Oct. 14</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">The 14^thAnnual Hinkson Creek Clean Sweep event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14.  Beginning at 10 a.m., volunteers will work at various waterways throughout Columbia, finishing up around noon. The Hinkson Creek Clean Sweep is a citywide stream cleanup event where volunteers work together to clean area creeks and streams. The result is a healthier watershed and attractive community.</p>
<p><strong>Volunteers are still needed</strong> for the Moon Valley, Capen Park, West Worley and MU Hinkson Field locations.  This event is appropriate for individuals or groups of all sizes and people of all ages and abilities.  Handicapped accessible locations are available. To sign up, email <a href="mailto:volunteer@CoMo.gov">volunteer@CoMo.gov</a> or call 573-874-7499 to provide contact information and preferred location.  Volunteer Programs will respond regarding additional details and event reminders.</p>
<p>Sites will be led by trained volunteers and supporting staff.  Volunteers will be provided collection bags and are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes that can get wet, long pants, long sleeves and a hat for sun protection.</p>
<p>During this event, motorists are urged to use caution around stream and creek crossings, as volunteers may be close to roadways collecting debris.</p>
