<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">The last compost workshop of the season will be held on Sunday, Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., in conjunction with the Sustainable Living Fair, at City Hall.<br /><br />Composting is nature's way of recycling, yet compostable material makes up 34 percent of landfill waste where it cannot properly breakdown. Citizens can learn the ins and outs of composting including how/what to compost and why it can benefit the community. Residents will receive information on how diverting kitchen scraps and yard waste at home can save money as well as reduce further additions to the ever-growing landfill.</p>
<p>Registration is not required but is encouraged.
