<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Solid Waste Utility is promoting a new way to keep customers informed about residential trash collection and recycling programs with its free </span><strong>COMO Recycle and Trash</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> app available for</span><a href="https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1126840859"> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Apple</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> and</span><a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.recollect.columbiamo"> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Android</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> users. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Once downloaded, this web-based communication tool allows customers to receive reminders and notification of schedule changes due to weather, holidays or upcoming events.  Registered customers can also receive information about seasonal campaigns such as oversized item pick-up, hazardous waste drop-off, composting workshops and more.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Not a smartphone user? Customers may choose when and how to receive reminders and notifications including email, text message, automated phone call or calendar alert by signing up online.  Simply enter the address in the "My Schedule" tab at the bottom of</span><a href="http://www.como.gov/utilities/solidwaste"> <span style="font-weight: 400;">www.CoMo.gov/utilities/solidwaste</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> and select "Get a Reminder."</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Additionally, the Waste Wizard feature available through the app, allows users to search keywords for proper disposal methods of specific items.  From aerosol cans to yard waste, the intuitive search tool helps clarify what can be reused, recycled or composted instead of going into Columbia's landfill. </span></p></div>
