<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Home invasion robbery leads to shooting in the 3900 block of Mint Julep Drive</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">One person was transported to a local hospital with injuries after being shot during a home invasion in Columbia.</p>
<p>Columbia Police officers responded to the 3900 block of Mint Julep Drive at 10:00 p.m. in reference to a gunshot wound. Upon officers' arrival they located a male victim with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.</p>
<p>The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was entering a residence in the area when two suspects approached him and forced entry inside the home. The home was occupied by a female and two juveniles at the time of the home invasion. The suspects brandished at least one firearm and demanded money from the victims before firing multiple rounds inside the residence. The gunfire struck the male victim. The suspects retrieved an undisclosed amount of money and property before fleeing the home. The female victim and juveniles were not injured.</p>
