<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Nov. 6, 2017 the Columbia City Council received the Vehicle Stops and Listening Tour Summary report. The vehicle stops data is submitted to the Missouri Attorney General's Office by the Columbia Police Department and is compiled into a statewide report which looks at four summary indicators: disparity index, search rate, contraband hit rate and arrest rate.</span></p>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Many citizens were concerned about the racial disparities shown in the local vehicle stops data which prompted the listening tour. The listening tour consisted of City officials meeting with various community organizations and citizens over several months to gather feedback and start a conversation about the vehicle stops data. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Vehicle Stops and Listening Tour Summary can be found here: </span><a href="https://www.como.gov/vehicle-stops-report"><span style="font-weight: 400;">https://www.como.gov/vehicle-stops-report</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. The public can leave comments here: </span><a href="http://bit.ly/VehicleStopsFeedback"><span style="font-weight: 400;">http://bit.ly/VehicleStopsFeedback</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. The comments will be compiled and given to City Council. Co
