<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - A random sample of approximately 2,400 Columbia households will receive a mailed citizen survey over the next few days seeking views on a wide range of City services and issues.  The purpose of the survey is to make sure that the City's priorities are in line with the needs of Columbia residents.<br /><br />Surveys should start arriving at homes by mail the week of Nov. 27.  The survey will include a postage-paid return envelope; the return address on the envelope will be that of ETC Institute, the consultant that has conducted Columbia's citizen surveys since 2003.<br /><br />To encourage participation, ETC Institute will make reminder calls a few days after the surveys are mailed. Citizens can respond to the survey during that call, if they wish, or they may complete the survey online at <a href="http://www.ColumbiaGov.org" target="_blank">www.ColumbiaGov.org</a>.<br /><br />Surveys are
 
  not exclusive to citizens who received them in the mail; anyone may complete the online survey. To assure statistical integrity, responses from the random sample households will be counted separately from other responses.<br /><br />To reach the survey using the City's website, citizens should visit <a href="http://www.CoMo.gov" target="_blank">www.CoMo.gov</a> and click on either the survey scrolling message at the top of the page or on the "New and Featured" tab in the center of the page. All responses are confidential.<br /><br />Citizens who respond to the survey help move Columbia forward, every response counts. Some of the responses provide a report card on City services such as public safety, utilities and other day-to-day operations. Other responses reflect the public's priorities for the future.<br /><br />The survey will close at the end of December. ETC Institute will share the results with the City Council in a public session in early 2018.</div>
