<p>                       Injury: Fatal</p>

<p>                      Columbia, Missouri</p>
<p>                       Age: 51</p>
<p>                       Seatbelt: No</p>
<p>                       Injury: Serious/Life Threatening</p>

<p>Incident Details:</p>

<p>The vehicle was traveling east in the 4600 block of  I-70 Drive Southeast when the vehicle began fading to the right and crashed into a bridge support. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot. Passenger 1 had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Columbia Fire Department. Passenger 2 was riding in the bed of the truck.</p>
<p>Both passengers were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for serious/life threatening injuries. Passenger 1, Cathy Watson, later died in the hospital due to her injuries sustained in the crash.</p>

<p>The investigation is ongoing.</p></div>
