<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">Columbia Parks and Recreation has closed Stephens Lake Park for ice skating and Cosmo-Bethel Park for ice fishing, due to warmer temperatures and thawing conditions.</p>

<p>With below-freezing temperatures predicted again in the next few days, staff will evaluate the lakes again on Friday, Jan. 12 and Tuesday, Jan. 16 to determine if the ice is thick enough to reopen the lakes. A minimum of four inch ice depth is required. The lakes are not checked on weekends and holidays.</p>
