<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">Columbia Parks and Recreation is planning a series of events in February to commemorate Black History Month. All events are free and the public is welcome to attend.</p>

<p>An African-American history exhibit will be available on weekdays throughout the month of February. The display is open at the Armory Sports Center, 701 E. Ash; individuals and groups are welcome to view the exhibit.</p>

<p>This year's film for the African-American Film and Discussion, "Selma," will be shown at 7 p.m. on Feb. 7 at the Armory Sports Center. Following the movie, a discussion will be held and refreshments will be available.    </p>

<p>The Black History Month Art Expo will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 at the Armory Sports Center. Free to the public, the Expo will feature art and performances by local talent. For information about performing, email Jay.Bradley@CoMo.gov.</p>

<p>Black History Month will end with the annual Gospel Explosion and Soul Food Dinner. It will be held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 25 at St. Luke UMC, 204 E. Ash. This year's program will feature gospel artists and groups from the central Missouri area. Following performances, there will be a soul food feast. Covered dishes are welcome.</p>
