<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Public Works announced on Monday, March 26, that beginning Tuesday, April 3 at 7:30 a.m., a Street Division crew plans to begin repairing a section of Vandiver Drive east of Paris Road (near Lee's Chicken). The right eastbound lane will be closed due to the work, and traffic will be shifted to the eastbound center lane. Work is expected to be completed by 3 p.m. on Friday, April 6, weather permitting. Minor traffic delays may occur during the work. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"This is a dig out repair to replace the road base and repour concrete," Pavement Engineer Seth Nelson said. "The eastbound lane has several large base failures that have to be repaired before the road can be milled and overlaid later this spring or summer." </span></p>
<br />
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The repair will stabilize the roadway to help prevent future potholes/pavement failures at this location.</span></p>
<br />
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to use caution when traveling through this area. </span></p></div>
