<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - City of Columbia Utilities  - Stormwater Division has closed the northbound lanes of Garth Ave between the circular driveway of Oak Tower at 700 North Garth and Sexton Road. <br /><br />This evening the pavement failed around a stormwater culvert near the intersection. An inspection was inconclusive as to the cause of the failure. Crews will return on Friday morning to remove the pavement layer, inspect the culvert and make repairs. Barricades are in place. <br /><br />The southbound lanes remain open. However, closure of the southbound lanes may be necessary on Friday morning. If a full closure of the roadway is needed, additional media and social media announcements will be issued. <br /><br />Motorist and non-motorized transportation users are encouraged to find alternate routes and use caution when in the area. </div>
