<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">City of Columbia Water & Light has won the Missouri Section of the 2018 American Water Works Association (AWWA) Drinking Water Taste Contest. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is the third year of the competition, previously won by City of St. Louis Water both years. Additionally, this is the first year of the contest that the MO-AWWA division member will be representing its section at the AWWA Annual Contest and Exposition which will take place in June.</span></p>
<br />
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"We want what everyone wants: drinking water that’s safe, affordable, and tastes okay too!" Water Production Manager Ed Fisher said. "This award is a huge kudos to our team who works hard every day to make sure we are providing the best water we possibly can."</span></p>
<br />
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The AWWA Drinking Water Taste Contest is an initiative to help maintain a high standard for drinking water. The Missouri Section of the American Water Works Association acts as a forum for open discussion of industry practices, and takes an active role in working with regulatory and legislative bodies to advocate public policy consistent with achieving the goals of clean, reliable drinking water. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Missouri Section AWWA represents more than 67 utilities, 16 organization members and 826 individual members.</span></p></div>
