<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">More than 2,000 volunteers plan to 'Cleanup Columbia' this Saturday</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia’s Volunteer Programs reports that more than 2,000 volunteers representing 155 groups have registered to participate in the Cleanup Columbia event on Saturday, April 14. This is the 22nd annual city-wide trash pickup event and is set to be the largest since 2010. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Volunteers will be along Columbia streets and trails, in our streams and in our parks Saturday morning picking up litter. Each group sets their own start time for cleanup. Following the cleanup, volunteers are invited to a post-cleanup lunch at Twin Lakes Recreation Area, 2500 Chapel Hill Road, at noon. An online map showing what areas have been assigned volunteers can be found on the Cleanup Columbia page at </span><a href="http://www.como.gov/volunteer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">www.CoMo.gov/volunteer</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There is still time for residents to volunteer in the cleanup. Those interested in participating can pick up supplies and find a cleanup location at Grace Bible Church, 601 Blue Ridge Road on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m., or at Rock Quarry House, 2002 Grindstone Parkway on Thursday from 4-7 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. or Saturday from 7:30-9 a.m. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The public is encouraged to use caution while driving in Columbia on Saturday morning as volunteers may be working near roadways.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Cleanup Columbia is sponsored by Socket, Veterans United, 102.3 BXR, KFRU AM 1400, KOMU TV 8, the Mid-Missouri CW and the Columbia Missourian. City of Columbia Utilities - Solid Waste and Columbia Parks and Recreation also provide in-kind support.</span></p>
