<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">**Update**2nd Alarm Fire at Aldis</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Columbia Fire Department investigators have determined the structure fire at Aldi's originated in the refrigeration unit of the involved trailer and is considered accidental.  Investigators are still working with the staff of Aldi's to determine a damage estimate.<br /><br /><br />The Columbia Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial structure fire at 1000 East Green Meadows, Aldis, at 5:25pm on Sunday, April 22, 2018.  Units arrived less than seven minutes later and observed heavy fire and smoke coming from a semi-tractor trailer backed up to a loading dock.<br /><br />Fire crews performed an aggressive fire attack using pre-connected hose lines.  The incident commander observed smoke coming from the structure and upgraded the call to a second alarm at 5:38pm, requesting additional equipment and personnel.<br /><br />Crews brought the incident under control in approximate
 
 ly thirty minutes.  The fire was contained to the tractor trailer however, there was significant smoke and heat damage observed inside the grocery store.  Assistant Fire Marshal Mike Bauer was dispatched to perform an origin and cause fire investigation.  Additional information will be released as it becomes available.<br /><br />Fifteen units from the Columbia Fire Department responded to this call.  There were no reported injuries.</div>
